Indian Institutes of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) presently called as the Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced is conducted under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board by one of the 7 zonal IITs. The score obtained in the JEE- Advanced is also considered for admissions in other equally prestigious institutes like IIPE,IISC, IISERs, IIPE etc.

The AIEEE which was renamed as JEE-Main is now a prerequisite and an eligibility criteria to appear for JEE- Advanced that is only if the candidate qualifies JEE- mains can appear for JEE- Advanced.
